  • On March 27, 2025, the U.S. Justice Department seized approximately $201,400 in cryptocurrency linked to a Hamas terrorist financing scheme, disrupting funds intended to support the group’s operations.
  • The seized funds were traced from Hamas fundraising addresses that laundered over $1.5 million in virtual currency since October 2024, with donations solicited through an encrypted group chat providing supporters worldwide with at least 17 cryptocurrency addresses.
