- U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended a member of the al-Shabaab terrorist group in the U.S. after he was initially released due to being mistakenly deemed a “mismatch” on the terror watchlist.
- The unnamed terrorist, who illegally entered the U.S. in March 2023, was free for nearly a year before being reclassified as a confirmed member of al-Shabaab involved in explosives and weapons.
