  • Suspected North Korean hackers targeted a joint U.S.-South Korea military exercise, but South Korean police reported that no classified information was compromised.
  • The Ulchi Freedom Guardian summer exercises, aimed at enhancing responses to North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats, are scheduled for 11 days.
  • The hackers, believed to be linked to a North Korean group called Kimsuky, conducted the hack through spear-phishing emails sent to South Korean contractors working at the South Korea-U.S. combined exercise war simulation center. The police confirmed that military-related information was not stolen.
