- Matthew Jason Beddingfield, of North Carolin, has been sentenced to 38 months in prison for assaulting law enforcement officers during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
- Beddingfield pleaded guilty to the felony charge of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers. He jumped over a barricade, charged toward Capitol Police officers, and attacked them with a metal flagpole and a metal rod.
