- The University of Minnesota (UMN) chapter of the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is hosting an event to support members of the Holy Land 5.
- The Holy Land 5 were leaders of a Texas based Islamic charity known as The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.
- The Holy Land Foundation was established in the 1980s as Occupied Land Foundation. At one point, it was the largest Muslim charity in the U.S.
- In 2001, it was shut down by the U.S. Treasury Department, and its leaders were tried and convicted of funneling millions of dollars to the Hamas terrorist organization. Read More
