- An adjunct professor at Hamline University was let go after she showed a painting in an art history class that had a depiction of the Prophet Muhammad, which is against Islamist faith to look at for many Muslims.
- In a statement released from Hamline University defending the decision, they stated, “Respect for the observant Muslim students in that classroom should have superseded academic freedom.”
