  • Mohammed Wali Zazi, 66, who was a naturalized citizen, was removed from the U.S. and sent to Afghanistan by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
  • Zazi was convicted of visa fraud, obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice in February 2012.
  • The U.S. Magistrate Judge revoked Zazi’s naturalization in November 2018, and his Certificate of Naturalization was canceled.
  • Zazi’s son, Najibullah Zazi, is a member of al-Qaeda and was convicted of conspiring to bomb the New York subway in 2009. Read More
