- Kasem Noubani was charged with battery and hate crime offenses in connection with a November 2024 attack on two Jewish students at DePaul University in Chicago.
- The victims, Max Long, a reservist in the Israel Defense Forces, and Michael Kaminsky, said two masked men attacked them from behind. Long suffered a concussion, and Kaminsky required surgery.
- Adam Erkan, the other man charged in the attack, previously pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor battery charges and was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.
