- Eleven people have been arrested in what law enforcement is calling a “planned ambush” on an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas on July 4.
- Law enforcement officials said 10 to 12 people in black military-style clothing began shooting fireworks at the facility. One or two others broke off from the group and began to damage vehicles and spray graffiti that said “ICE pig,” “traitor” and profanity.
- Two unarmed officers made their way outside to talk to the vandals, and an officer from the Alvarado Police Department was called to investigate the suspicious activity at the detention center. When the officer responded, he was shot in the neck.
- In Portland, Ore., an ICE facility has faced repeated protests and attacks, and nearly two dozen people have been arrested since June.  Read More
