- Regan Darby Prater, 28, of Tullahoma, Tenn., was sentenced Oct. 20 to 17½ years in federal prison, three years of supervised release and $1.289 million in restitution for arson and attempting to provide material support to Hezbollah, a designated foreign terrorist organization. He pleaded guilty in April 2026.
- According to court documents, Prater used a napalm-based incendiary device to destroy a building at the Highlander Center, a nonprofit research and education organization in New Market, Tenn., causing more than $1.2 million in damage. Before the attack, he spray-painted a symbol associated with the Romanian Nazi Party’s Iron Guard. Prater admitted targeting the center because of his white supremacist ideology and its connections to faith-based education and the civil rights movement.
- Prater also admitted that in 2019 he obtained a document purportedly containing personal information about more than 35,000 people affiliated with the Israeli government and supplied it to someone he believed was associated with Hezbollah. He accompanied the information with the message “Start the hunt.” The FBI and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation investigated the case.
