Iran national Farhad Shakeri was tasked by the IRGC with plotting to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump - Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC
  • Farhad Shakeri of Iran, along with Carlisle Rivera and Jonathon Loadholt of New York, were charged in a murder-for-hire plot against a U.S. citizen of Iranian origin who criticized the Iranian regime.
  • Shakeri was also tasked by the IRGC with surveilling and plotting to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump, surveilling Jewish Americans in NYC, and targeting Israeli tourists in Sri Lanka.
  • The defendants face charges including murder-for-hire, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, money laundering conspiracy, and in Shakeri’s case, material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Read More
