Remember at the start of the week we asked you to watch a video and tell us what was strange about it? The video was filmed in the Gaza Strip during Ramadan, in the evenings when people were breaking their fast. We wanted to know how many women you could spot.

The vast majority of you said two or fewer. We watched the film numerous times and reckon their were either four or five women out of the hundreds appearing in the video.

We also asked for your comments on the film and many of you pointed out that Gaza looks remarkably peaceful and prosperous – totally unlike the way the media depicts this Palestinian coastal enclave. And remember, Gaza is run by Hamas, recognized as a terror organization by the United States among many others.

Some of your hundreds of comments are below the video. THANK YOU!

Take a look at the video if you haven’t already seen it:

Your Comments

What a sad, terrible and abnormal society where almost all females are either banned from being out of the house or are to scared to go out.

Are the women not allowed out to buy food and attend the mosque, even outside the mosque , for the night prayers? Where is the devastation? The buildings and shops look unscathed and quite elaborate? Have we been , are we being, feed ‘fake news’?

Also there doesn’t seem to be the shortages of supplies, electricity, food being reported. Vibrant intact streets and buildings that somehow escaped the Israeli bombing of “all of Gaza” as reported.

I only saw two people with head coverings so I figured they were women. I was wondering do they consider Hamas ruling them a siege?

I didn’t see any women. It’s a strange culture, but at least they took a break from shooting missiles into Israel.

The UN should watch that maybe they will pour in less money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was surprised to see even two. Must have been a couple of “wild chicks”

The men all seemed to be very well fed and the market well stocked.

Women are up front only when they serve as living shield to the brave warriors trying to kill Israelis or at the very least set our fields on fire to destroy the crops.

It’s an expertly produced piece of propaganda.
