Suicide Bomber Attacks US Consulate in Saudi Arabia

A suicide bomber died after blowing himself up in an attack in front of the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The bomber blew himself up in a hospital parking lot opposite the consulate as the two security guards approached him after they became suspicious.

The U.S. State Department reported the staff at the Jeddah consulate is safe, saying they "can confirm that all personnel under chief of mission authority are accounted for at this time."
