London’s police force acted swiftly and resolutely to halt yesterday’s carnage at the Palace of Westminster. While tackling the terrorist, PC Keith Palmer was stabbed and mortally wounded, later dying.

MP Tobias Ellwood, formerly a Captain in the Royal Green Jackets, performed CPR on the scene and attempted to staunch the bleeding until medical assistance arrived but to no avail. ”

“It is a huge tragedy, it really is,” he told media. “I tried to stem the flow of blood and give mouth to mouth while waiting for the medics to arrive but I think he had lost too much blood.”

We have prepared a letter to send to the Metropolitan Police which will be forwarded to the family of PC Palmer offering condolences.
