Qatar Quits OPEC; Sends Signal to Trump, Saudi

Oil prices rose five percent in early trading on December 3 after Qatar announced its plan to leave OPEC, the world’s largest oil-producing bloc of nations. While Qatar says the move is economic not political, Clarion analysts say it is a clear signal to President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia and is deeply political.
