South Africa has welcomed the Islamist terrorist group Hamas to the country.
President Jacob Zuma of the African National Congress (ANC) party hosted a joint news conference with Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal during which the leaders exchanged gifts and signed a letter of intent pledging to build “lasting relationships.”
Israel’s Foreign Ministry expressed “shock and anger “over the meeting which it condemned as a “backwind for terrorism which blatantly and rudely ignores the international community position, by which Hamas is considered a terrorist organization.”
Hamas, an affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood, is pledged to carry out the genocide of Jews according to its founding charter, citing the hadith “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews."
Hamas this week called upon its followers to carry out suicide bombings against Israeli civilian targets.
