Recently, we reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a video in which he offered to transfer Israeli technological know-how to create clean, usable water to solve Iran’s drought problems. The offer was made directly to the Iranian people, specifically bypassing the regime powers.
We then asked you, our readers, the following question:
Should Western leaders bypass Islamist regimes and reach out to the public?
(By the way, among the millions of people that viewed the video, hundreds of thousands of Iranians also watched it. Many reacted positively, saying, “God bless Israel.”)
I am sure the people of Iran would rather live in the 21st century than suffer in the 7th century.
Iranian population already suffers the extremists, but I am unsure as to how many people would have access to the information.
Israel is actually the Good Samaritan of the Middle East.
Give and it will be given back to you. A wise, kind move on Bibi’s and Israel’s behalf.
This is a step in the right direction to create a more civil relationship between Israeli and Iranian citizens.
Wow, what a praiseworthy goal.
Already the people of Iran were ready to revolt, but were disappointed when they received zero support from United States [during the Obama administration].
I believe Netanyahu-ism will be a new, cutting edge school of diplomacy. How can Iran not embrace this?
Person to person is the way to peace and prosperity.
The Iranian regime must be taken down through empowerment of popular opposition. Sooner rather than later.
Whatever is good for the people, regardless of power brandishers.
The Israeli PM is God’s man in the Middle East at the moment!
PEOPLE are NOT ever BORN to hate each other, that is DEEPLY instilled either at home or by a regime using them for their political agendas which in turn are often NOT in the best interest of ALL people.
Certainly people can make a change.
