ISIS has been training kidnapped Yazidi children to use weapons and perpetrate suicide attacks for several months, an Iraqi source told Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

“There are approximately 800 Yazidi children between the ages of 5 and 18 that are being trained in three ISIS camps in the el-Ba’aj, Mosul and a-Raqqa areas, how to behead people, carry out suicide attacks and how to fight,” the manager of the Kidnapped Yazidis office in Dohuk province, Hossein Kourou, said.

According to Kourou the trainers start by brainwashing the Yazidi children. They then teach them Arabic and how to read and memorize the Quran.

“We got this information from the children that were freed when they came to visit their kidnapped mothers with the organization,” he added. "Their mothers called us and we freed them through the Arab tribes or by giving ransom through middlemen. After those children came back we questioned them and acquired this sensitive information. Most of the freed children now can’t speak Kurdish properly, which is their mother tongue. They speak Arabic and are also committed to rigid prayer times and ISIS slogans.”

The source added that 1,148 children have been freed from ISIS so far in various ways.

This report talks of the use of Yazidi women and children as sex slaves:
