Pro-ISIS Nashir News Agency sent out calls to carry out more “revenge” attacks against Western states in the wake of the June 3 attack in London, according to the intelligence monitoring organization SITE.

At the beginning of the month of Ramadan, last week, ISIS outlets urged supporters to “gain benefit from Ramadan” and “kill civilians of the Crusaders, run over them by vehicles.”

In extremist circles Ramadan is considered the optimal month for jihad. ISIS called on its followers to wage “all-out war” against the West this Ramadan in a YouTube statement.

The message, entitled, “Where are the Lions of War?” said “Do not despise the work. Your targeting of the so-called innocents and civilians is beloved by us and the most effective, so go forth and may you get a great reward or martyrdom in Ramadan.”

ISIS supporters reportedly celebrated news of the London attack on social media, according to BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner.

Experts believe that as the Islamic State loses territory in Iraq and Syria it will switch to an increased number of terrorist attacks in Western countries as an attempt to stay relevant.
