In episode 7 of Clarion Project’s podcast “Endeavor Against Extremism,” host Shireen Qudosi shares how she explains the appeal of extremist recruiters during Clarion’s  Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) workshops.

The preventing violent extremism (PVE) and countering violent extremism (CVE) sectors long abandoned the conveyor belt theory — that there is a straight pathway which leads to an individual becoming radicalized.

However, when that story was discarded, it wasn’t replaced with anything that captured the attention of communities on the frontlines fighting this scourge.

In this podcast, Qudosi talks about the power of storytelling as a PVE tool and shares the story she created for training workshops she gives to help communities understand the allure of extremists recruiters.
