Supporters of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attacked a group of peaceful protesters (see video below)
who had gathered at the residence of the Turkish ambassador in Washington, D.C. during Erdogan’s visit this week with U.S. President Donald Trump, reported Greek Reporter USA.
The attackers broke a police line and violently charged the group. A number of minority organizations who represent those that have borne the brunt of the Turkish state’s oppressive policies protested Erdogan’s presence in Washington. The groups included Kurds, Armenians, Greeks and Yazidis.
Victims of the attack stated their attackers were not ordinary civilians, but people with military training, “likely from Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail.”
