Dar Al Salam Islamic Center (DAIC), located in Westland, Michigan began in December 2005. DAIC moved into its current location in December 2014 [1]. There are no clear affiliations with Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups. The Imam is listed as Imam Abu Yacob/ Abdel-Halim Adnan Shaout. [2]

Imam Yacob has published a three-part sermon warning against extremism that can be found on DAIC’s YouTube page [3].  However, Imam Yacob has also published inflammatory and anti-Semitic sermons online chastising the Jews as being involved in idolatry and not having a legitimate claim to Jerusalem or right to the land known as Palestine and that Allah should “Free Falasteen [Palestine] from the dirt of these people.”[4]
