Islamic texts speak of the need to “cover your bosom” not cover your hair, according to a Californian imam.

Oakland-based Rabi’a Keeble founded Qalbu Maryam Women’s Mosque. A convert to Islam, she is the author of Activism in a time of change and uncertainty: A Muslim Woman’s Perspective from the front lines.
