Address: Seattle, WA 98115

Website: www.cairseattle.org

CAIR-Seattle/CAIR-Washington’s stated mission is “to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.”[1]

CAIR-Seattle executive director Arsalan Bukhari has “liked” the radical Imam Siraj Wahhaj of Masjid At-Taqwa on Facebook.

In January 2009, Bukhari refused to condemn “terrorism,” saying he prefers to condemn it as “political violence.”[2] However, he labeled an attack on a Sikh temple in 2012 as a “deadly terror attack” on his Facebook page.

Later in 2009, he preached to Muslims that “There’s nothing to gain from talking to law enforcement.” He continued, “I can’t emphasize enough, you have the right to remain silent, so use it.”[3]
