In the video below, Muslim Reformer Asra Nomani shares why Code Pink, a radical feminist group, was at Speaker Pelosi’s office on Thursday, March 14, 2019, alongside Jewish Voices for Peace:
Later that day, Nomani also reported on CodePink crashing a press conference against anti-Semitism.
“[CodePink] had no answers for my question about why they stand with the anti-Semitic government of Iran. I ask: Why this alliance with the government of Iran? Against Iranian feminists who seek to simply feel the wind in their hair?
Asra Nomani is also drawing attention to the inconsistency of values CodePink has on women’s rights issues abroad. For example, CodePink rightly calls out human rights abuses against female activists in Saudi Arabia, but glosses over abuses against female activists in the Iranian regime.
The discrepancy is underscored by the fact that CodePink just returned from “spring break” as (Nomani phrased it) from Iran. The question is: Who is funding the rag-tag band of women activists who swing to the extreme left of the political sphere and also steadfastly support and defend Iran?
