Clarion Project has learned that a Shiite mosque in Anaheim, California hosted a major supporter of the Iranian regime and the terror organization Hezbollah.

The Jafaria Islamic Society hosted Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi as a guest lecturer in June 2017. All of his sermons are given in Urdu, the official national language of Pakistan.

In a speech given at another location, Zaidi he said he was “very sad” when Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the extremist founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, died. However, he said he then felt “blessed” when he realized who his successor was, referring to current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Zaidi is also a fan of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist group. Nasrallah himself is designated as a terrorist by the U.S. government.

In an online clip (translated for Clarion by a native Urdu speaker), Zaidi expressed his deep appreciation for the terrorist leader and how he acts upon his words, whereas other Shiites don’t.

“The Shia party in Pakistan is bluffing a lot, saying things and they don’t do it. That’s wrong. Hassan Nasrallah says something, and he does it. And they should look to him to be as strong as he is and have the same kind of conviction,” he said.

A cursory review of the Jafaria Islamic Society’s website shows no signs that the mosque is supporting the Iranian people who are protesting the Iranian regime and complaining about its lavish sponsorship of Hezbollah. This silence speaks volumes about the ideological agenda of the mosque leadership.

Today, there is a major battle between the Shiite world. Freedom-seeking Iranians and Iraqis, the majority of which are Shiites, are standing up to the Islamist Shiites who believe in the Iranian theocracy, its terrorist puppets and its corrupt militias.

Every Shiite mosque is certainly aware of this clash and taking a stand depending on which side it favors.

Based on the Jafaria Islamic Society’s choice of speakers and failure to challenge the Iranian regime, it appears that the mosque leadership is loyal to the Islamic Revolution started by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979.
