- Victor Lee Hawkins, 20, a former student at Pauls Valley High School, entered the school lobby on April 22, 2026, armed with two stolen semiautomatic handguns, ordered those present to the ground, and attempted to shoot students.
- Principal Kirk Moore confronted Hawkins, tackled him face-down onto a bench, disarmed him, and held him until an assistant principal arrived to assist. Moore sustained a gunshot wound to the leg in the process. No students were injured.
- Hawkins is charged with shooting with intent to kill, feloniously pointing a firearm, and carrying a weapon on school grounds. He is held on $1 million bail. Moore is recovering and was subsequently crowned prom king by the student body. READ MORE Â
