- Michael Sam Teekaye Jr., 22, of Hanover, Md., pleaded guilty Jan. 30 in federal court to attempting to provide material support to ISIS.
- Investigators said Teekaye planned to travel through Turkey to Somalia to join the group and researched locations in Maryland where he could kill Jews and supporters of Israel; he also attempted to purchase an assault rifle but was denied because he was on probation.
