Federal authorities arrested 35-year-old Jessica Bowie for plotting an ISIS-inspired attack on the New York State Capitol, involving plans to kill state senators and destroy the building.

According to the complaint, Bowie converted to Islam five years ago, became radicalized online and created multiple social media accounts using an honorific Islamic name.

The FBI intercepted the plot by conducting a sting operation, in which she purchased explosive materials and a handgun.
