- Michail Chkhikvishvili, a Georgian national also known as “Commander Butcher,” was sentenced May 13 in federal court in Brooklyn to 15 years in prison for soliciting hate crimes and distributing instructions to make bombs and ricin.
- Prosecutors said Chkhikvishvili was a leader of Maniac Murder Cult, also known as MKY, a neo-Nazi group that promotes violence against racial minorities, Jews, and other groups it deems “undesirable.”
