The Al-Aqabah Islamic Community Center (AICC), established in 2010, is located in Hamtramck, MI [1]. The AICC’s website is not functional and there is no information regarding a current imam.   AICC’s former Imam is Amir Mika’il Stewart Saadiq [2].
We have not found any information of radical teachings from Imam Saadiq. However, Saadiq was a student of Masjid Al-Haqq’s former Imam Luqman Abdullah [3]. Abdullah was killed in a shootout with the FBI, in 2009.
Members of AICC have shared information and express sympathy for, Jamil Addullah Al-Amin [4]. Al-Amin, formerly known as H. Rapp Brown, is currently serving a life sentence in federal prison for the murder of two police officers in Georgia. He is the leader of the Ummah  (“the Brotherhoodâ€), a group of mostly African-American converts to Islam, which seeks to establish a separate Sharia-law governed state within the United States. [5].
