An Islamic center in New England is pushing the Iranian regime message in America.

The Islamic Masumeen Center of New England is a Shiite non-profit organization in Hopkinton, Massachusetts that has held multiple events with sheikhs who are supporters of the Iranian regime and Hezbollah.

The center’s maulana (religious scholar), Agha Mehdi, studied in Qom, Iran.

A quick look at the photos from the Masumeen Center’s Facebook page shows that known supporters of the Iranian regime – including Syed Abbas, Hamza Sodaga and Usama Abdulghani — have attended the center’s functions.

  • Abbas is a supporter of Iran’s first Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini as well as its current leader, Ali Khameini.
  • Sodagar gained major notoriety for suggesting that gays should be beheaded or burned alive. In addition, in a recent lecture in the state of Washington state, he expressed his desire for Israel to be destroyed.
  • Abdulghani has been even more open about his extremism views, praising Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah: “So, brothers and sisters when times are tough—when you see that you don’t know where truth is, everybody’s talking—just remember the words of the man who was more old school than any of us. Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, may Allah protect and preserve him … and all our leaders, especially the leader, Sayyid Ali Khamenei.”

While Masumeen could be supporting the Iranian people who want freedom from the oppression of the ayatollahs, Masumeen is instead giving a voice to those who help push the message of the Iranian regime in America.
