The Ahlul Bayt Mosque is located in Brooklyn, New York. In 2016, the Shia mosque received $60,000 from the Alavi Foundation, an organization found to have direct ties to the Iranian government. [1] One of Ahlul Bayt’s sheikhs, Wessam Abdul-Karim, was tagged in an August 29, 2018, Facebook post as traveling in Qom, Iran.
