The CAIR-AZ chairman, Anas Hlayhel, is the imam of the Islamic Center of the North East Valley. He has 'liked' Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi on Facebook since 2010.

CAIR-AZ is a chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. CAIR-AZ is located at the same address as MAS-AZ and Masjid Es-Salaam.[1]

CAIR-AZ’s former chairman, Anas Hlayhel, led the chapter from 2010. He is the imam of the Islamic Center of North East Valley. He has “liked” Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi on Facebook since 2010.

In March 2013, CAIR-AZ’s current chairman, Imraan Siddiqi, re-tweeted a message referring referred to the U.S. military as the “US Occupying Army” and said that people should be “rescued” from serving in it.[2]
