The San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) says it seeks “to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.”[2]
The California branch of CAIR transferred $325,000 to the North American Islamic Trust in 2003.[3]
